E+E
For many a reason, I don’t work weddings. It’s a decision I made early on, and that I am generally happy with, bar for one thing: it drastically reduces the amount of gorgeous gowns I shoot.
So when a couple I photographed in the past for a Love Story session asked me if we could have a post-wedding session, I could barely contain my excitement. A gown in a quiet nature spot. A gown AND a quiet nature spot! What a treat.
E+E wanted to capture the calm after the whirlwind of their big day. Having photographed them in their engagement season, this was such a beautiful full circle moment. We met a couple of weeks after their wedding in the gorgeous countryside where the bride grew up. The atmosphere was relaxed and genuine: no strict timelines, no crowds, no dozens of wedding guests demanding both theirs and my attention. Just the two of them, enjoying the newness of married life. They laughed, wandered through the grass, and shared stories between shots, which made everything feel beautifully natural.
From a photographic point of view, this session was a dream. I played with wide apertures to emphasize intimacy and used the golden hour light to highlight those softer, quieter emotions. What I loved most was being able to focus on storytelling without the rush of a wedding schedule. The result is a series of images that feel personal and timeless—capturing love not as an event, but as a mood. I've shared a few of my favorite frames below, where you can almost feel the warmth and peace of that afternoon.
